Japanese online media magazine Defrag has gotten a hold of Parra, an artist/illustrator from Amsterdam, while he was in Tokyo for the opening of his solo exhibition, The Amsterdam Show. The newly opened Common art space in Harajuku is a compact gallery that looks like a back country chalet, constructed with plenty of wood. In this short interview, Parra describes his introduction into the art from his parents to the inspiration and meanings behind his bird like characters. Other than being an artist, Parra also runs his own clothing label called Rockwell based in Amsterdam. Please click on the link here to view the full video or go over to Defrag.
