Ronnie Fieg may have just scored a perfect 10 on his Weaver Boot project with Clarks Originals, but that wasn’t all the Queens-born and raised footwear savant had in store for the heritage footwear company. Today Ronnie Fieg released images of a Desert Boot that he reworked for Clarks Originals, also part of the Saddle Collection. Fieg interprets three versions of the Desert Boot, each in a beautifully muted tone of vegetable-tanned saddle leather. The man clearly respects the perfection of the original – he doesn’t pimp out or pervert the Desert Boot (which is several decades older than the 27 year old designer). These boots aren’t going to “snap necks,” but they are going to provoke second and third looks for years – and as with all Desert Boots, these are sure to age exceedingly well.
