Perhaps it’s the lack of viable natural resources and landmass, the people of Japan always pride themselves in the creation of intricate designs. nanoblock is such product. Devised by diablock of Kawada Toys, nanoblock is essentially a miniature version of the hugely popular LEGO toy block, on an average half size smaller than the regular LEGO blocks. Since it is a chocking hazard for toddlers, Kawada Toys marketed nanoblock mainly to bored office workers and hobbyists. The company also linked up with camera maker PENTAX in the limited production of Optio NB1000 with nanoblock façade. In primary color green (safari) or white, each to come with100+ coordinating color blocks, catalysts for creative expressions or just some kiddish fun. Of course, it is still a fully functional 14-megapixel digital point & shoot camera. The nanoblock x PENTAX Optio NB1000 Digital Camera is now available for pre-order at Japan’s RESTIR boutique and other select retailers ahead of its official launch this Friday, November 26th.
