Vans Syndicate Luke Meier Zero Lo Navy | Supreme Exclusive

Maybe Vans was playing it safe, waiting to see if the first Luke Meier collaboration turned heads. Well, it obviously did – Meier’s M Zero Lo S, released this past Summer, was an inspired interpretation of a foundation VANS skate shoe, with the tenet “destroy luxury” dictating material and color choices. Following that success, Vans Syndicate launched a dedicated microsite for this latest Meier project, which includes a 5 minute concept video directed by Kahlil Joseph (who in the past has created videos for Aloe Blacc). Meier, a graduate of Supreme, “designed the shoe to be skated, not collected.” As with the first version, this collection is well appointed in suede with leather trim, and is available in black, burgundy, and golden brown colorways. Flexing the collaborative muscle a bit more this time around, a navy colorway will be release exclusively at Supreme, available on November 26th. Even if you aren’t feeling the shoe, check out the project video. This isn’t the first time a luxe upper has been put onto a traditional Vans sole, but Luke Meier’s version is among the best, Supreme or not.
