After a much-publicized start in August, the mural by Barry McGee and Josh Lazcano (aka Amaze), or better known as the mural on Houston Street, came to a unceremonious end this morning. Right before sunrise, with legendary on-the-street photojournalist Martha Cooper as witness, crew quickly "hose down" the mural with metallic silver paint. Armed with converted fire extinguisher, perhaps the 8-Liter Applicator from KRINK, the wall had a new décor as first light of the day hits SoHo a memorial to SACE IRAK, the tag the late artist provocateur Dash Snow used. Swing by and visit the corner of Bowery and Houston Street as the paint is just about to be dry. via: Martha Cooper
