Another Omar Salazar colorway is out for the Fall. Salazar is a bit of a dark horse at Nike SB, and his shoe has been a surprising success against the backdrop of two other notable signature lines from Nike: the casually cool Stefan Janoski, and the various Paul Rodriguez offerings. The Salazar certainly incorporates it’s own share of proprietary Nike technology, using a large amount of Flywire, but maybe it’s popularity stems from it’s “not like the other” appeal. There have been some decidedly funky colors of the Salazar in the past – including the Sparkly Purple Dinosaur Jr. reincarnation – and the expressive color theme stays alive here. Nightfall and Varsity Crimson would almost give it some Miami Vice – if it weren’t Winter in the Northern Hemisphere right now. Other than that, you’ve got all usual Salazar features, including the asteroid textured sole with a Moon heel pad, and the zipper pocket hidden in the tongue.
