Few things get Converse as much attention as what the brand is releasing every season in Japan. Sure, Dr. Romanelli will steal the scene anytime he drops in for a collaboration, or if an Italian-trained Japanese shoemaker creates 64 Chuck Taylors by hand, that’s the big story for Converse. But every month, like clockwork, we are all talking about what is coming from Converse.jp. That’s about all the rant Converse needs though, because the December release speaks for itself. It’s got way over the top Varsity style (going strong), with a chenille-letter Chuck Tayler high. It’s got nods to the popular Chelsea-boot gusset in another Chuck. It’s got an all-over print that manages to not be terrible. It’s got a low top with really nice details – a single golden eyelet, and striped lining. And it’s got a One Star Lo in leather, with a metallic star, perfect Ura Hara, circa a few years ago, and therefore perfectly timed for for the US. Check out our preview shots after the jump. via: SN.
