New Era XC – Barcelona Launch | Video

The latest stop on the five-city European tour brings the New Era XC project to Barcelona. In case you missed our coverage of the last stop in Milan: New Era XC commemorates the company’s 90th anniversary: the classic baseball cap maker the “Originators of the True Fitted” is holding a series of events in London, Berlin, Milan, Barcelona and Paris. The events serve as exhibitions of 5950 hats, which have been decorated, destroyed, or otherwise interpreted by 90 of Europe’s best up-and-coming young artists. In Barcelona, we see the New Era get brutalistic armor, a cerebellum pattern, and get done up like a frosted cake, among many, many others. It’s another European art scene vignette that is definitely worth watching, and the hats are interesting too. Check out the video after the jump.
