In a move that is sure to please fans of the classic New Balance 574, the company is producing a run of the shoe at its factory in Flimby, England. New Balance has been steadily defying the corporate trend for over 20 years by maintaining the Flimby production center, which employs a production team of over 210 people. “The ‘Made in England’ cachet, amazing product quality and agile manufacturing at the factory does give NB some distinct advantages in certain export markets, and has given the brand real market penetration in some harder-to-reach markets, including Japan. The 574 is one of the company’s most successful and stylish models, and is being reproduced in heritage-inspired colorways, with premium suede and mesh uppers. This is about as classic as a heritage running shoe gets. Check out detail shots of all three colors after the jump, and pre-order them now from Hanon.
