As with any signature series from http://nike.com/” target=”_blank”>Nike Tennis, the http://australianopen.com/” target=”_blank”>2011 Australian Open Collection for http://rogerfederer.com” target=”_blank”>Roger Federer was crafted solely for him. Unlike http://freshnessmag.com/2010/12/15/nike-tennis-2011-australian-open-collection-for-rafael-nadal/” target=”_blank”>Rafael Nadal‘s hard charging tactics, the world record holder of Grand Slam titles emphasized on finesse of movement and agility on the court. There by, Nike introduced the new Lunarlon Vapor 8 Tour for Federer’s collection. A full Lunarlon foam, in bright yellow, dominated the new shoe, while a new generation of Flywire support minimized the weight further.
Designers at Nike were well aware that with such technically advance footwear must come with an equally advance apparel for Federer to reach his performance potential. With design cues from the theme “Modern Craft”, http://nike.com” target=”_blank”>Nike turned to its staple fabric, Dri-FIT and created a streamlined silhouette out of bonded seams only. Laser cut perforated patterns along the shirt’s back not only provide ventilation but reflect Federer’s Swiss origin. With all the new gears available, it would be quite interesting to see how each would fare if both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer come face-to-face this time around.
