Even before the PR team of Nike Basketball had the chance to send out the official press release, fans of Kobe Bryant already branded this pair with an assemblage of nicknames, everything thing from the “Greem Mamba” to the more common “The Grinch”. Despite the colorful naming contest, the actual name of this Green Eye Monster is “Green Means Go”, 1 of 3 from Nike Christmas Day Collection, “Signal Your Color”, a play on traffic signals. But considering how his opponent this Christmas Day, LeBron James, is the most hated man in basketball now. Fans are abiding to the nickname “The Grinch”.  As with the character from the children’ book by Dr. Seuss, fans are egging for Bryant and the L.A.
