We now have some detail shots of the New Balance Ivy League collection (which we previewed here). The collection of both high and low-top sneakers drawing heavily on a mountaineering/hiking aesthetic, will be available from Mita soon. This first round includes the versions inspired by Columbia, Princeton, and Brown, each in a suede colorway inspired by the traditional colors of the school. The H710 isn’t just piggybacking on the mountain-sized trend of hiking influences though; it’s heritage is in the 1982 collaboration between New Balance and mountaineer Lou Whittaker. The Ivy League pack has been in the works for a long time, drawing on both Mita and Japanese streetwear magazine Samurai. These three examples of the H710 Lo are all subtly different, so there’s something for every Newbie fan. Check out the shots of all three after the jump. These will be available in February at Mita.
