As long as there are large metropolises like New York City, there are urban explorers, men and women who seek the buried past, whether it be intentional or accidental, and unearth the wealth of history. Though not as glamorous as treasure hunters, their finds are always intriguing. While most explore long abandoned ruins and subway tunnels, a few actually venture into active ones. With dangers, such as electrified third rail, oncoming train, and security personnel, Andrew Wonder and Steve Duncan probed the subways, Amtrak's "Freedom" tunnel, as well as the storm drains and sewers of New York City last year in a 4-day exploration. All the while documenting their exploration with a simple Canon 5D Mark II DSLR. Enjoy!
