adidas Originals x Snoop Dogg – Freemont Mid-Snoop

Snoop Dogg’s efforts in the fashion industry have been rocky; as with many rappers’s lines, the clothing has been uninspiring, seemingly aimed directly at discount clothing retailers like TJ Maxx.  But to Snoop’s credit, he’s stuck with it, and gotten a bit more up on the times – even jumping on the collaboration bandwagon with Neff and Upper Playground. And Snoop has obviously created synergy in his partnership with adidas Originals – the National Tracksuit Day event, Snoop in a video for the Star Wars collection, and a live chat in which Snoop weighs in on his love for the Three Stripe. Another thing Snoop is well know for loving (aside from the Kush) is the LA Lakers, and with the All Star Weekend tip off today, Snoop and adidas Originals have teamed up again on a Freemont Mid honoring the Los Angeles team. The sneaker also features the droopy cartoon dog eyes made famous by the illustrated cover of the gangsta rap classic album Doggystyle. The shoe is available in-stores at Sheikh.
