AIR JORDAN 2011 white black 011 570x418 Air Jordan 2011 Officially Unveiled

As Tom Luedecke, Senior Footwear Designer at Jordan Brand, recently stated, the pace of basketball games are such that they gave raise to “hybrid-players”, one with abilities to cover all positions in both strength and speed.  This recent change in game play is the focus of the new Air Jordan 2011, officially unveiled today.

With the help of design icon Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan 2011 is an ambidextrous tool created solely for the game.  It features 2 interchangeable midsoles A blue version with heel and forefoot Zoom Air Units, weight saving measures with responsiveness on the court.  In addition, a red version, with a 3 / 4 length Air Unit and Cushion midsole, as the color indicated, for explosive burst of speed to overtake opponents. The technology extends to the upper of the shoe, an Internal Locking System for forefoot and heel stability while the Dynamic Loop System anchor the players foot in the shoe at key points.  But the most noticeable attribute is the finish, hand crafted in Patina leather with custom burnished motifs in multiple dyes, also by hand, each idiosyncratic element is unique to that pair only.  Along with the 2 announced editions, there are 2 more colorways to follow, including the Year of the Rabbit edition in celebration of the Chinese New Year.  All are expected to hit Jordan Brand retailers and Nike stores around the globe next month.

I totally agree with you Broadway Custard! I've passed on shoes just based on quality. No 3M on the retro 13's really? Thats one of the things that made that shoe unique! I remember ruining every picture with flash because my shoes were glowing!! It was the first thing people would point out.

The 2011 is clean, premium materials and has a classic look. Looks like a great shoe to ball in. I wish Jordan Brand would take the same time, effort and materials and put it into the retros. If they're going to continue to put these retros out with cheap leather (cutting corners) they shouldn't be charging $150 and up. They should be less than the original price, because it's basically a skechers version of the originals!!!!!!!!!
