We recently http://freshnessmag.com/2011/01/28/porsche-911-carrera-coupe%CC%81-cabriolet-limited-black-edition/”>highlighted the 911 Black Edition; now Porsche has a similarly blacked-out version of the Boxster S Roadster. Like it’s big brother 911, the Boxster includes a bit of a power boost, and a major style boost – with all black paint, black wheels, a black convertible top and a fully black interior. Again, like the 911, it’s not exactly the standard “murdered” look, but very, very sleek – as http://porsche.com/microsite/black-edition/usa.aspx?model=boxster”>Porsche’s dedicated microsite says, “Black does not reveal all, but keeps the most important things under wraps…” Power is derived from a 320-horsepower version of 3.4-liter http://porsche.com/usa/”>Porsche V6, controlled by a six-speed manual or the automaker’s PDK dual-clutch transmission – which allows the car to reach 60 miles per hour in just 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 170 mph. An optional Sport Chrono package shaves two-tenths of a second off that acceleration time, and the Black Boxster is capable of achieving fuel economy numbers of 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 mpg highway. We’re sure to have more limited edition car news as the Spring auto shows get closer, but this is a nice teaser. Check out a few more teaser shots after the jump. via: http://autoblog.com/2011/02/02/2012-porsche-boxster-s-black-edition-gets-horsepower-bump-sinis/”>Autoblog.
