Lady Gaga x Supreme In Purple Magazine | By Terry Richardson

Freshness Week In Review: 1/31/2011 2/06/2011

Supreme held it’s Winter sale in January, and that was the last piece of news until this past week, which brought both another Vans collaboration and a Lady Gaga photoshoot. Vans X Supreme is a tried and true recipe for sought after shoes, and the upcoming Old Skool, looks like a classic hit. The Supreme Old Skool will be available in three colorways:red on white, purple on grey, and orange on aquamarine, each comprised of ballistic nylon mesh with key elements in suede. On the artistic/marketing side, Terry Richardson shot Lady Gaga last year for Vogue Homme Japan – holding a Supreme-branded Birkin bag – and the photos will be included in the upcoming issue of Purple. No word on how this relates to actual product yet, but it’s reminiscent of the Lou Reed shoot that ended on posters around the city, and on T-Shirts.

Levi’s Chambray by Opening Ceremony

Freshness Week In Review: 1/31/2011 2/06/2011
From Supreme on Lafayette down to Opening Ceremony on Howard Street, Terry Richardson shot the Levi’s Chambray for Opening Ceremony this week too. Richardson has been shooting these lookbooks for OC quite regularly now, and this time steps in for the release of a capsule collection by Levi’s, which revolves around chambray denim. The lookbook also features fresh-faced model Anais Pouliot and PJ Ransone – who some have called “the next James Dean.” Whether you love him, hate him, or love to hate him, you can check out the shoot, which is classic Terry Richardson, here.

Freshness Week In Review: 1/31/2011 2/06/2011
Rockabilly/biker clothing translated through a streetwear lens is a long established trend in Japanese fashion, and Bedwin & The Heartbreakers is among the best labels doing it. This week, Bedwin released the full collection of products from the Spring Summer 2011 collection, which is titled Raspberry Beret. It’s a full collection, including eyeglasses, belts, hats, and other accessories – but is centered on some powerful pieces, which include a leather riders-style jacket, an camo insulation jacket, and a gray flannel plaid blazer. A bonus are some suede desert boots in interesting colors. The collection will be available at Bedwin accounts soon; for now you can check out the whole collection here.

White Mountaineering Gore-Tex Paclite Shell Primitive Pattern Short Jacket

Freshness Week In Review: 1/31/2011 2/06/2011

It also bears mention that White Mountaineering released a large number of pieces from the Spring Summer 2011 Primitive Line collection this week. One of the strongest pieces of White Mountaineering design is the company’s Primitive Pattern, which showed up on the Gore-Tex Paclite Shell Jacket the label released this week as part of the collection. The jacket is available in four colorways, each of which features the Primitive Pattern in two colors, printed on a technical Gore-Tex Paclite shell, with taped seams and water-resistant zips. There are a number of great items in the Spring collection from White Mountaineering, but this is one of the standouts. Check all four colors out here.
