Creative Recreation is on roll for 2011; the primary inspiration for the innovative sneaker-maker this year is definitely the hybridization of classic styles with new silhouettes, with an eclectic mix of materials thrown in. The Baretto is a perfect example: it takes the high-top fashion sneaker that Creative Recreation has been a staple in the company’s line up season after season, and pulls in some hiking shoe features. As typical of this season’s offerings, there is an all-black version available. But two other versions offer some color inspiration: a very hiking themed colorway with an olive sole and an olive/black leather upper, finished with an orange woven hiking boot style lace, and an orange heel pull, plus a drab cordura ankle strap. And the final version has a black sole, with yellow stitching, plus a black canvas upper set off by carbon-weave panels and a royal blue ankle strap – very reminiscent of the Bernhard Wilhelm x Camper shoe that turned so many heads last year. Check out all three colorways of the mountain inspired shoe after the jump.
