Supreme Spring/Summer 2011 Collection Launch | Event Recap

Except for the weather’s unpredictability, one other constant in New York City this morning was the line-up in front of http://supremenewyork.com/” target=”_blank”>Supreme. Boyfriends, girlfriends, some even asked their parents to come, all to observe the perennial spectacle the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection Launch. A legion of folding chairs and their masters arranged a little encampment in front of the store since 5 am this morning, ready to lay siege to the place. By 10:50 am, with the window washers came and went, the pristine storefront was ready to counter the coming onslaught. All told, around 150 people waited on line this morning. But with more coming every hour, that number easily climbed to 200 by Noon. And what merchandises most people wanted? But of course the http://kawsone.com” target=”_blank”>KAWS x Supreme Box Logo Tees and Hoodies. One word of advice for all the complainer comments... First of all, It got old many moons ago, I was one of you, 5 years ago... saying how corny it is people wait in line, losers, posers etc... haha... At the end of the day, I learned to realize yeah, Supreme isn't what it was in in 95'... I was there, i revolved around those guys... all the lucky ones are making good money right now, you're either were down or your not, talking down on people for waiting in line for something are passionate for is a beautiful thing. Instead of worrying about yourself and complaining, if you got kids growing up right now, that are exposed to kaws, supreme etc... because you expose it to them, they are gonna wanna wait online one day also, or maybe even you because you wanna get you kid something. Only thing that confuses me is sometimes yuo can just go the next day and buy the same thing without waiting on line, but if you got a passion for being the first to have someting more power to you, there's alot more crazy stuff in life to complain about. Peace to everyone spending money, and peace to everyone making money. PS: I'm not associated with any industry brand, just a fan that grew up around this stuff and saw it all happen... Chances are there will still be lines wrapping around lafyette another 10 years from now, so if you really get someting out of complaining, you got a long 10 years ahead of you... good luck

I wouldn't go to GUCCI head to toe to go to the GUCCI store.. Why would I get dressed head to toe in SUPREME to go to SUPREME? Sorry you ain't catching me wearing that garbage (supreme) anyways. I don't respect a brand that copies/imitates another clothing line.. take for example, POLO, how does SUPREME bite off POLO?? SMH. get a LIFE or GET A GIRL!!! all of a sudden everyone wanna be a skater, photographer, skinny jean wearing dude, mohawks....SMH at you lame bustas. drunyc.wordpress.com

Their is NOTHING impressive about "Supreme" with or with the skateboard background. Them dudes on the line go there buy as much as possible then resale it to another idiot. I seen regular stupid New era hats with the Supreme name on it going for 80-90. their wayyyyyyyy better brands out there.

I mean i don't understand what the hate is for, i personally wouldn't line up like this but I dont see why these "hypebeasts" who really are supporting something that is dope can. so what there isn't a skateboard...its freezing up there and someone has the nerve to say something senseless like that. If you want to wait in line to get a $50 shirt then so be it. dont knock the next man
