The new men’s Earthkeepers 6-Inch boot from Timberland has a hybrid aesthetic that sets it apart: it combines the elegant sole profile and toebox construction of more formal dress boots, along with a hint of the rugged Timberland DNA, in a drab olive canvas panel, that makes up the sides of the upper. The profile is reminiscent of recent boots done by the label of the late Alexander McQueen, but the boot also maintains a puddle-and-mud-ready feel. As part of Timberland’s Earthkeepers line, the boot incorporates leather from ecologically responsible tanneries, canvas containing yarns made with 50% organic cotton and 38% recycled PET, an outsole made from 42% recycled rubber, and a 100% recycled PET lining. All materials are both ecologically sound, and high performance – the boot is fully waterproofed with hydrophobic water-shedding technology. The Earthkeepers 6-Inch Boot is available from Timberland now – check out the images after the jump; this one will be ideal through the Spring transition season.
