Introduced in 1975, the Star Player was just as its name prescribed, a pair of sneakers you have which everyone took notice once stepped into the court. And why wouldn’t they? The familiar comfort of the CONVERSE All Star Chuck Taylor till you reached the shoe’s midsection. There, embossed prominently, was the Star Chevron logo, a symbol from CONVERSE‘s storied past.
Last year, footwear designer Ronnie Fieg took up the challenge to redesign and update the icon. And the outcome? Finally, after 15 months, Ronnie Fieg introduced the CONVERSE Star Player 75 Deluxe Pack. A complete appointment of premium leather from upper to laces with a perforated variant for insole, the Star Player 75s envisioned by Fieg are more like premium boots with a colorful twist. In tonal olive or navy, each colorway extends far beyond the upper, enveloping the midsole, outsole, and laces too. With only 300 pairs made, the Ronnie Fieg x CONVERSE Star Player 75 Deluxe Pack in Ox (low) and Hi will be available this Friday, March 18th, at David Z. flagship store in New York and its online store.
