Rather vague in its promotion at first in January, Nike finally introduced the premise behind its Nike Better World initiative via video this week. Prescribed as a “film made from 100% recycled ads”, Nike Better World is also part Public Service Announcement (PSA), but without the lengthy preaching. Highlights all Nike’s efforts locally as well as globally in assistance with environmental issues, humanitarian cause, and others. However, the site and its program aren’t merely corporate mouth pieces. Both also ask visitors to participate by redirecting them to different sites or simply address the issues publicly via Twitter and Facebook. A good starting point for those who wants to make a difference.
