Super Bowl watchers got a quick teaser of what is projected to be one of the biggest movies of Summer 2011, and now we have the first official trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger. After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America’s ideals. The plot is almost embarrassing – an over-muscled crusader wearing the stars and stripes, fighting all that represents evil. But all the same, Captain America is a cherished comic book icon, and if viewers can put actual current affairs aside, it might be a fun event this coming summer.
