Nike Be True Cricket

Going beyond its traditional scope, Nike Sportswear went and observed the sport of gentlemen, cricket, as its Spring/Summer 2011 design theme. A game among the Commonwealth nations, the bat-and-ball sport demonstrates the reach of the British Empire at one time. It undoubtedly served as the precursor to that great American past time, baseball, though many would disagree. Because of its enduring aspect, designers at Nike Sportswear took cues in designing a special Nike Dunk High and Nike Sportswear T-Shirt Collection. With help from the Indian Cricket Team, a splash of blue and white decorated the Nike Dunk High. Nike also incorporated the cultural importance of cricket to Indian society with graphics by Archan Nair, Gautam Gajbar, the partnership of Nida Mahmood and Raul Chandra. All, in essence, provided a condensed take of gullies, the stadiums, bowlers, batesmen, and most importantly, the ferment followers of Indian cricket
