Freshness Week In Review: 3/20/2011 3/27/2011

An interesting year so far business-wise at visvim; the label has recently raised it’s’ already astronomical prices on some items, and rumor has it that Bergdorf is soon to carry the brand. After last week’s trunk show and women’s line event on On Pedder, the visvim news this week was the opening of a new F.I.L. location in Hong Kong. By making F.I.L. exclusive items available in Hong Kong, visvim is sending a signal that the label is committed to the broader Asian market

If supercars have any place in an ecologically responsible future, the Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid might be a hint of what is to come. The hybrid drive 918 shares a similar design to it’s predecessor, the Carrera GT, and offers 700+ horsepower. While production won’t start until 2013, dealers are now taking orders. And one “option,” for the most well-heeled and anxious buyers? A 918 Spyder Hybrid edition of the existing 911 Turbo S, with exclusive Spyder Hybrid paint and detailing.

Pusha T Fear of God | Mixtape

Freshness Week In Review: 3/20/2011 3/27/2011

In the mainstream hip hop world, some consider Pusha T a prime candidate to break into the top ten of rappers – inasmuch as such a group can be objectively identified. This latest mixtape, in support of the upcoming Fear of God full-length album, isn’t swaying those opinions. It may not be the greatest mixtape yet of 2011, but it does feature a serviceable verbal performance by the Clipse rapper, over some failproof beats.

After testing the West Coast waters with a Neckface show last year (which drew 5,000 attendees in one night), art impresarios Aaron Bondaroff and Al Moran are back to open the Los Angeles branch of OHWOW, the hybrid collective and gallery. T Magazine interviewed the pair about the new venue, the change of scenery, and the inaugural show, Noblesse Oblige, which featured artist Scott Campbell.
