CONVERSE Japan are embarking on a new apparel line titled Malden, Massachusetts and CONVERSE have prepared an all star design team consisting of Yoshikage Kajiwara (LOWERCASE) as the creative director, Masahiro Fujiwara (WhiteLine) as the designer and Michiharu Shimoda (sfd) as the graphic designer. As a taster of the new label, eight pieces were created to coincide with the Student Life theme. The concept of the Spring/Summer 2011 collection revolves around the Black Mountain College which existed in North Carolina from 1933 to 1944. Apparel in this range are designed as a fictional products supplied by CONVERSE for the students of the college. All of the items are currently available on the CONVERSE Japan online store.
