Nothing says America and Spring like Opening Day. The first week of April marks hope for warmer weather, and for many sports fans it marks the beginning of the Nation's past time. During today's home opener against the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankee fans were at least treated to a win, though the weather was chilly with gusting winds and rain. The less-than ideal conditions didn't deter the Yankee ace, and Jordan Brand team member, C.C. Sabathia, from rocking what has to be the freshest cleat in major league history--the Air Jordan XI Concord. Though his baggy pants covering the uppers, there was no hiding the black patent leather portion above the midsole, and reminding Yankee fans that he knows how to bring some heat to the diamond. Apparently, he had worn this model before in previous seasons, so it's reasonable to expect to see some more Jordan retro flair from the Yankess lefty as the season plods along.
