It's not overstatement to say that the Stefan Janoski shoe from Nike SB represented a major milestone in skateboard footwear style; the boat-shoe inspired sneaker broke out as cross-market success, and effectively revitalized the SB lineup with casual appeal. That casual construction meant that the Janoski Low didn't offer the ankle support desired by the more high-impact skateboard athlete though, and to address that, SB has introduced a mid-top version of the shoe. While the mid-top does water down the appeal a bit, it remains one of the more appealing options available from SB. And in a well executed video to launch the shoe, Nike SB emphasizes the off-board creative talent that Stefan Janoski brings to the company. He created the music and animations for a very quirky video which highlights the features of the shoe (albeit in a very abstract sense), and highlights Janoski's very smooth skating style. Check out the video after the jump.
