Kazuki Kuraishi’s work for the http://freshnessmag.com/2011/02/18/adidas-originals-by-originals-kazuki-kuraishi-springsummer-2011-collection-lookbook/”>Spring/Summer 2011 adidas Originals collection has been an interesting mix of highly technical pieces, along with more classically styled pieces. This baseball jersey, done in traditional style, clearly represents the more classic end of the spectrum. Kazuki has re-imagined the quintessential baseball jersey, with all of the technical and aesthetic updates we’ve come to expect from adidas Originals; he has created the jersey in two colorways, both with contrasting detailing on the cuffs and hem, and with a contrasting underarm panel. The jerseys are made with Cool Max Active Construction, and feature the somewhat whimsical word Norden – which allegedly has no meaning here, but was simply a word Kazuki likes the sound of. Check out both jerseys after the jump; they are available now from http://endclothing.co.uk/brands/adidas-originals-by-originals-kzk-baseball-tee.html”>end clothing.

If I may. "Norden" is German for "north", not for "northward" (that would be "nördlich"). This is why, as a Northern German, wearing a "Norden" jersey kicks ass. Majorly.

FYI # 2 - Norden is the common word for the scandinavian countries Norway, Sweden and Denmark and the non-scandinavian countries Finland and Iceland. Greenland, Faroe Islands and Åland are also part of Norden. So there you have it!

FYI - Norden actually means northward in German. I love how Kazuki infuses these German elements into his clothing. Very cool stuff!!!
