Prior to the special event at Sole Fly sneaker boutique in Miami, Nike‘s Tinker Hatfield, the man behind the Air JordanIII to XV, as well as the AJ XX, XXIII, and subsequently the 2010, spent time with a select group of guests in a in a very candid conversation about Nike’s past, present, and its future, from the his supposedly extensive collection of sneakers (of which he mentioned he’s not really a collector), to special design branch The Zoo, an offshoot of the all-important Innovation kitchen. Hatfield also touched on a few little known subjects, such he’s awkwardness in dealing with LeBron James and the player’s design “entourage” versus Kobe Bryant, whose ideas are straight forward and to the point.
