“More than just a destination…” exclaimed Erik Searles, Vice President of Oakley Retail when the Big-O dropped its newest flagship store at the heart of Times Square. Along with Oakley CEO Colin Baden, pro-skater Ryan Sheckler, and hundreds of O-Fans, the barriers came crashing down at its Oakely Store Times Square last Thursday. Located at the all-important junction point billed as “The Crossroads of the World”, the new Oakley Store Time Square will offer the full range of products and services as well as exclusives, like the Oakley Custom Bar, a real-life facsimile of its custom program online with an on-site etching hardware for instant personalization. A 3-D vision wall help you to experience what 3-D image is really like with Oakley’s new 3D eyewear. Visitors to the store will also get the opportunities to see debut introductions long before the products are made available to the general public. In addition, demo sessions provided by staffers from Oakley’s secretive R&D department will help customers is selecting the most suitable Oakley eyewear. Plans are set for the rest of the year with more special events to take place, including one during Fashion’s Night Out in September.
