Ward’s Automotive Magazine has been rating the top car interiors since before 2005, and now the 10 Best Car Interiors for 2011, as ranked by the automotive data analyzer. This isn’t just a line up of the most opulent – Range Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin, etc – in fact, none of those luxury marquees even appear on this list, which maintains a veneer of democratic objectivity. There are luxury cars, to be sure: BMW, which has hammered out most of the longstanding user-interface issues with the iDrive system, and the Audi A8 (pictured above), which has been winning accolades from virtually every automotive magazine and critic. Rounding out the list are cars like the Kia Optima EX and Chevy Cruze 2LT RS, evidence that automakers are recognizing that even inexpensive cars don’t get a free pass when it comes to interior design anymore.
