Situated among the beauty salons and snack shops of this Asian-centric neighborhood known as Flushing is an unlikely storefront, a sneaker consignment store. Founded by Shu Cheng, Greg Lam, and Perry Shum, IMAGE is the first consignment shop to be located in the borough of Queens instead of the more popular Manhattan. Deep within the newly opened New World Mall, the 240-square-foot store holds around 150 pairs of sneakers, respectable amount for a store space this size. Along with the new and old SBs, Jordans, and Air Force 1s, there are the rarities – the first collab between Stash and Nike, the long forgotten DC Shoes done by KAWS, even the most recent BAPE x OriginalFake KAWS MILO Dissected Companion. In celebration of its opening, the store will be hosting a raffle for a brand new pairs of Air Max 90 Infrared. No purchases necessary, simply stop by the store and ask about the details. IMAGE, a welcome addition for sneaker aficionados of Queens.
