The winged sandals of godly messenger Hermes got some more recognition when Nike Air Talaria debuted in 1997. Initially equipped with the Nike Air and later Zoom Air, the Greco-Roman mythology got a big boost last year with the movie Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, albeit a CONVERSE variant. Nevertheless, Nike brought back the Air Talaria in its latest incarnation as the Talaria Boot. In a chukka boot fashion, the clear outsole shows the Zoom Air cushioning system. Meanwhile, its laser etched upper gives a contemporary design sensibility. Two colorways will be available – black/orange/yellow and brown/black/blue, each pair sporting a reflective heel tab featuring Talaria logo in cursive font. These sneakers are currently available on pre-order at mita sneakers and will be available from Saturday, May 14th.
