Ahead of the U.S. Open of Surfing this July, Nike 6.0 Surf will embark on its biggest campaign yet. Titled “Chosen” 4 members from its surf team roster – Julian Wilson, Kolohe Andino, Michel Bourez, and Laura Enever, will take center stage for the first time in a made-for-web commercial. While the details are unknown thus far, the trailer gave glimpse of each surfer in their element with one exception, surfing at night in pitch darkness. Nike 6.0 Surf been quite secretive on all the details except for one, the June 2nd date for the commercial’s debut. For now, there are just still images of each in action.
With Coolum Beach of Australia as his backyard, Wilson hasn’t look back (or had the chance to) ever since he won three 1st place finishes on the Pro-Junior Tour in 2007. The youngest surfer to be voted as “Best Performance of the Year”, Wilson even created a signature trick, the “Sushi Roll”, named during a trip to Japan.
The youngest surfer of the 4, Andino is no doubt a surfing prodigy. Even before his 15th birthday, the California native already took home 9 championship titles from National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) tour circuit. Now with the full backing of Nike 6.0, Andino will be the one to watch in the next few years.
