THE HIDEOUT x CONVERSE Chuck Taylor All Star | Release Info

“Urban rustic” would be the best way to describe the upcoming Chuck Taylor All Star collaboration between THE HIDEOUT and CONVERSE. Basic in styling, Ian Ginoza, formerly of KICKS-HI and now the Director at CONVERSE First String and Special Projects, approached the design with an almost utilitarian, militarism theme. Constructed in enduring duck canvas fabric, each seams triple-stitched in similar fashion as rugged outerwear, highlighted by contrast heel stripes. “We view the Chuck Taylor All Star shoe as a perfected everyday item. Its design has transcended generations and subcultures and fits alongside Hideout’s history with street style and our reverence to basics and utility,” stated Michael Kopelman of THE HIDEOUT, the influential London retailer and an urban trend pioneer since 1999.

THE HIDEOUT x CONVERSE Chuck Taylor All Star consist of 2 pairs of low along with a pair of high-top, all to be available this coming July 4th at THE HIDEOUT in London then follow by all CONVERSE First String retailers on July 16th, 2011, including KICKS HAWAII and Saint Alfred of Chicago.
