By materializing the common notion of “urban jungle”, Jeremy Scott dares us all once again to think outside of the box. While much of the designer’s eponymous line with adidas Originals are relegated quite quickly as fashion faux pas, the items do have a way to “grow on you” after a second glance. Take the JS Panda Bear, a converted Metro Attitude Hi basketball sneaker in the form of, well, a panda yearning for a hug. Or JS Streetball, the glam and sheer aggression of a ball game on the street corner translated into a mash-up of leopard skin pattern, neon colorways and metallic radiance. The same applications are found on the apparel side also. Spice up any black-tie event this fall with his JS Tuxedo Tiger Jacket, though the ability to scream “Yabba Dabba Doo!” is a prerequisite. And without a doubt, the JS Firebird Track Top Leopard will soon become the staple of any hip-hop moguls (and Tony Soprano) out there. Check for availability at your local adidas Originals retailers or at adidas Originals online store in the coming weeks.
