Nike Las Vegas Re Opening Recap

Niketown in Las Vegas was always one of the city’s go to sneaker spots for a while, but about 4 months ago, the popular Nike destination closed its doors to undergo a bit of a transformation. While in its chrysalis stage, NTLV went through some major changes — including the absorption of the space next door to it, thus increasing square footage — and a couple of days ago, the space reemerged as Nike Las Vegas.  The gargantuan experience encompasses numerous aspect of sport: soccer, running (men and women), training, football, basketball (Jordan Brand and Nike Basketball), youth athletics, golf and tennis. Each section is rather expansive: the running section alone appears to be even larger than stand alone Nike Running stores. In addition to the emphasis on core sports, Nike Sportswear is also represented at Nike Las Vegas and as an added bonus, a Nike ID station can also be found there, so there really is something for everyone under one roof. So we touched on the retail experience, but the visuals are also something of note. Retna added some artistic touches in the basketball section, and mini-museum displays showcasing the evolution of Nike’s shoes throughout its existence.
