Pronounced in the same spirit of American Revolutionary War hero John Paul Jones, BlackBerry declared in a statement metaphorical to that of Jones’ “I have not yet begun to fight!” with 5 new smart phones this morning. The largest global launch by BlackBerry thus far with already 225 carriers signed up, it will include 2 new BlackBerry Bold and 3 new BlackBerry Torch models like the BlackBerry Torch 9850 and Torch 9860. Quipped with the largest display ever to be on a BlackBerry device, the 3.7-inch TFT LCD with Liquid Graphics promotes seamless response and accurate typing thanks to a fast CPU. To take advantage of this, the Torch 9850/9860 features a 4X digital zoom, 5 Megapixels camera with HD video recording capability in 720p. Images and videos can be store in a 4 GB eMMC or a microSD memory card up to 32 GB. Upgraded for ease of navigation and multitasking, the BlackBerry 7 OS retains the familiar functionality most BlackBerry users come to expect and more, like the BlackBerry browser, voice activated search function, augmented reality… All to be available at the end of this month worldwide.
