Blade Runner 2 New Film By Director Ridley Scott | Rumor

They are some of the most memorable scenes in the world of Science Fiction films, partly because they prescribed a future quite probable – a Los Angeles in perpetual state of purgatory, close to be dystopia yet filled with prospective wonderments and amenities. That particular L.A. was the setting of cult classic Blade Runner. Directed by Oscar-winning Ridley Scott, based on Philip K. Dick’s novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, the story centered on Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) and his hunt for a group of rogue “replicants” humanoid robots. Now, as the new owner to the film along with other proprietary rights, production house Alcon Entertainment confirmed the involvement of director Ridley Scott in the new venture. No words on whether the upcoming film will be a prequel or sequel to the 1982 original, nor with any certainty that original cast members like Harrison Ford, Edward James Olmos, and the very convincing Rutger Hauer will take part in this reiteration.
