Land Rover Defender – DC100 Concept

By - August 31st, 2011

Land Rover has announced the unveiling of an all-new Defender concept, the DC100, scheduled for the Frankfurt Motor Show. Intended as a modern take on the classic Land Rover Defender, the DC100 isn’t a production ready concept, as Land Rover has confirmed that a new Defender model won’t be launched until 2015. We don’t know much about the vehicle at present, and as Director of Design Gerry McGovern puts it, the concept represents “the beginning of a four-year journey to design a relevant Defender for the 21st century.” Judging from the preliminary image, it appears the Defender is about to undergo a thorough makeover.

Very nice but where are the skylights ? A must for a Defender. Also should the vehicle have the traditional raingutter on the roof It would be nice if there would have been a mount for the spare tire on the bonnet. Regards Stephan (most probably the biggest Landy fan on this planet)
