In looking beyond the present, you sometimes have to see the past first. A notion well understood by footwear label ALDO as it announced the start of Mr. B’s Gentlemen’s Boutique, a sub-label dedicated to the tradition of handmade footwear. In need of conveying this artisanal angle to customers, Mr. B’s asked fashion photographer Tommy Ton, of Jak & Jil fame, to curate its debut look book. With help from Alexander Gilkes, the co-founder of art website Paddle8, uniquely specialized urban landscape artist Brook Klausing, and finally, Saturday Surf Shop‘s very own Morgan Collett, each exhibited classic styling within contemporary context.
