The Beastie Boys first met with NIGO at his NOWHERE shop in Tokyo many decades ago. Since then they have maintained close relationship working on handful of projects together. Beastie Boys are also known for their affection towards Japan, so it is only natural for the trio to lend a hand to the victims of the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. This Beastie Boys Love Japan t-shirt is part of the Rescue and Rebuild efforts by BAPE in which all profits will be donated to aid organization Civic Force. Front illustration was hand drawn by Mike Mills, who is responsible for Beastie's album artwork and directing their videos. The t-shirts will be sold at Fashion's Night Out 2011 Tokyo on Saturday, November 15th initially, followed by release at BAPE stores Japan wide from Saturday, November 12th.
