Nike’s Vac Tec releases bring together two of the shoe company’s best qualities: the iconic trainer silhouettes that established the brand decades ago, and the bleeding edge textile tech and avant garde design that have kept the company fresh. Nike has revamped some of the most classic and popular entries from it’s sneaker roster, by giving them a very unique thermo-molded construction, and in conjunction with the series of Vac Tec editions that we’re seeing for Winter 2011, has now released the Air Max 90 in an attractive all-black Nubuck version. The Air Max gets a nod from several VT releases this winter, including the Midnight Fog Wool version, but the all-black version hits a few key bases: referencing one of the classic colorways of the perennial favorite AM90, touching on the never-dead all-black-everything aesthetic, and artfully blending stealth and pop – plus, it’s an ideal color palette to emphasize the elegance that the vacuum-compressed one-piece construction achieves. All of the VT releases are limited, and this is no exception; the Black Nubuck AM90 VT is available now at oki-ni. Check the images of this understated stunner after the click.
