Bell & Ross BR Twelve OClock

At what time does a clock stop being a clock and become an art piece? http://bellross.com/” target=”_blank”>Bell & Ross presents the BR 12 O’Clock, a timepiece that measures the passing of time through the twisting and distorting of numbers, a concept that surrealist Salvador Dali would have surely appreciated. The ebony block-shaped case houses twelve display watches, each adorned with the number of the hour on its face. The number is painted in white on three concentric, independently rotating discs, with each number aligning to form a legible vertical whole only when its appointed hour is up. It’s a clock that tells time in the most abstract way possible, reminding us that the concept is fluid and fleeting. Check out more images of the limited edition clock (just twelve in existence, naturally) after the click.
