Brooklyn Museum Keith Haring: 1978 1982 Exhibition | New York

Brooklyn Museum is selecting pieces from the expansive career of Keith Haring by composing the first large-scale exhibition that focuses on his early years. The exhibition is entitled Keith Haring: 1978 – 1982 and it showcases 155 works on paper and various experimental videos, along with over 150 archival objects, such as sketchbooks, journals, exhibition flyers, posters, subway drawings and documentary photographs. Not only was Haring being assimilated into New York’s downtown culture in these formative years, but he began to lead the scene by turning into a cultural icon himself.
