Intended as a celebratory edition to England's King George VI, his wife Queen Elizabeth, and the royal couple's 1939 visit to Canada, Crown Royal was quite a rarity outside of Canada till 1964 when bulk exportation started. Still made in Canada today, its blended whiskey process and unique taste are now symbolism of the Maple Leaf nation, much like how Bourbon Whiskey's association with America.
As follow-up to last March's Dunk Low Pro SB "Jameson" edition, its reported that Nike Skateboarding is set to release the "Crown Royal" version this April, though a March release date is also possible.
