Richard Mille watches are technical, futuristic and sleek, with case designs inspired by cars and aviation. The new Richard Mille RM056 is certainly no exception: a highly accurate chronograph with tourbillon, the timepiece is housed in a case made entirely out of sapphire. Specifically, the three-piece case is formed from a solid sapphire block, which is cut, shaped and reassembled with room for movement. The result is a unique watch that features the lightest split-chrono tourbillon ever made. Limited to just five pieces, the RM056 doesn't come cheap -- each carries a hefty price tag of $1.65 million.
