Converse and Finnish textile company Marimekko are continuing their creative partnership into Spring 2012. Marimekko is celebrated for its colorful original prints, five of which will adorn the canvas upper of some of Converse’s most recognized silhouettes. The Lokki design (meaning “seagull”) is featured on two Chuck Taylor styles (one high, the other a low) as well as a Jack Purcell Helen, a woman’s version of the iconic sneaker named after Jack’s wife. Like the Lokki, the floral blue Unikko print (meaning “poppy”) is designed by Maija Isola and also appears on a Chuck Taylor High. They’re joined by two more Maija Isola creations in the Muija in yellow (woman) and Appelsiini (orange), both of which are applied to Jack Purcell Helens. Finally, the red and white Kameka print by Annika Rimala spruces up a pair of Chuck Taylor All Star PJs. Check out all the looks after the click.
