DEVON Motorworks GTX Sold at Barrett Jackson Auction

In 2009 entrepreneur Scott Devon founded Devon Motorworks, with an eye toward manufacturing a bespoke American supercar based on the Dodge Viper platform. The Devon GTX concept was ultimately short-lived, as the Dodge Viper ceased production in 2010. Ultimately, just two examples of the vehicle were built, featuring a refreshed body with upwards-swiveling doors and two-tone finish, and under the hood, an 8.4-liter Viper engine good for 650 horsepower. Over the weekend serial number 001 of the Devon GTX was auctioned off at the 2012 Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale, Arizona. The black and chrome street legal model, complete with a 2012 special construction title, went for a cool $220,000.
